18-year-old Nampa woman charged with second-degree murder after Boise shooting

An 18-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder following a deadly shooting in Boise on Oct. 30.

Boise Police says 18-year-oldEava June-Mccarthy, 18, of Nampa was arrested by Caldwell Police on Monday night.

"Upon further investigation detectives discovered that the individuals involved in this incident are known to each other and there is no evidence to indicate any danger to the public at this time," Boise PD said.

Additional arrests are possible.

At about 12:41 a.m. on Oct. 30, police were called to the 7000 block of W. Emerald for a man in a hallway. He was later found to be shot and was rushed to the hospital but he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified by the Ada County Coroner's Office.

Boise PD, in addition, is asking businesses on Emerald and Milwaukee (see map below) for security video of passing vehicles between the hours of 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 1 a.m. on Oct. 30.

Detectives are specifically interested in talking with any business owners along the highlighted roads on the map, Emerald between Milwaukee and Cole, Cole from Emerald to the interstate and Milwaukee from Emerald.
