Biden's quick temper has some aides avoiding one-on-one meetings with him, report says

"No one is safe." That's what one administration official says when talking about President Joe Biden's "behind closed doors" temper, according to Axios.

Axios adds that President Biden's curse-laden tirades against staff are a fierce deviation from Biden's "carefully cultivated image" as "a kindly uncle who loves Aviator sunglasses and ice cream."

It has reportedly become such an issue that some White House aides do their best to avoid meeting with him alone, choosing instead to bring along a colleague as a sort of layer of protection.

Still, according to Axios, Biden is "prone to yelling," choosing to admonish staffers with phrases like:"God dammit, how the f**k don't you know this?!," "Don't f**king bullsh*t me!" and "Get the f**k out of here!"

The publication is attributing its information on the topic to "current and former" aides of President Biden who have reportedly "witnessed and been on the receiving end of such outbursts."

There's no question that the Biden temper is for real. It may not be as volcanic as Bill Clinton’s, but it's definitely there," Chris Whipple, author of "The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House," told Axios.

Some aides reportedly say that getting yelled at by Biden is a sort of rite of initiation at the current White House and that, if he doesn't yell at them, it's because he actually doesn't respect them. Biden's rage, according to staff who spoke with Axios, reflects his "high expectations."

Biden has also shown flashes of his temper in public. In Jan. 2022, he was caught on a hot mic calling a Fox News reporter a "stupid son of a bitch."

An anonymous source who spoke with the Washington Post in May said thatBiden has repeatedly exploded at his White House staff over inaction at the United States' southern border.

When Biden would have explosions, and he did have a bunch of them, he’d say: ‘D*mn it, you haven’t told me anything different from what you told me last week,'" the source claims. "Then 10 minutes later, he’d say: ‘Look, I’m sorry, I know everybody is trying.'"

Axios adds that some White House aides believe Biden would be "better off" displaying his temper and intensity in public as "a way to assuage voter concerns that the 80-year-old president is disengaged and too old for the office."

The National Desk has reached out to the White House for comment but has yet to hear back. If a response is received, it will be added to this article.
