NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — CapEd Credit Union, in partnership with Treasure Valley Subaru, hosted an Education Community Appreciation Breakfast Saturday.
"Together, we want to express our appreciation for all you do for students, families, and our community. This event is a part of Treasure Valley Subaru’s grand opening of their new Nampa Auto Mall location," a spokesperson said.
Guests were served breakfast and watched a hot air balloon inflation and a golf ball drop.
"For us to be able to engage with our education community outside of the classroom is an opportunity for us to congratulate and celebrate for a job well done and an opportunity to start to get back to some normalcy. We know as things are starting to open up it's great to be able to be together as people," Todd Christensen, CapEd Senior Vice President of Advancement & Member Experience said.
The breakfast started at 7:30 a.m. and ended at 9:30 a.m. During the breakfast, guests had the opportunity to win a VIP flight for two at the 2021 Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic.
CapEd said during the month of May 2021, Teacher Appreciation Month, educators can receive a 0.85 percent discount on approved new and used auto loans.
