Helmet Cancels The U.S. Dates Of Their 30th Anniversary Tour Due To Slow Ticket Sales And High Costs

NEW YORK CITY (CelebrityAccess) — Alt-metal icons Helmet announced that they are canceling their upcoming tour with Local H, citing financial challenges.

In a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, a rep for the band said:

Helmet regrets to announce we are having to cancel the upcoming US tour with Local H. The cancellation is caused by a mix of significant financial concerns and lower than expected ticket sales which is a common problem for many artists this year. We look forward to getting back out on the road in 2025. In the meantime our European Tour this November goes ahead as planned.

“As much as we’d love to be getting back out on the road and playing, this one was not lining up well for us. We’re excited about our upcoming November/December European tour which is looking great and we will reconvene in 2025 for more US dates,” Helmet vocalist and lead guitarist Page Hamilton added.

The tour, marking the 30th anniversary of Helmet’s 1994 album “Betty” was scheduled to get underway at Wally’s in Hampton Beach, NH, on September 19th and wrap at Machine Shop in Flint on October 10th.

Tickets for the band’s European shows, which are scheduled for later this year, are still on sale.
