Jordan Poole’s unreal three-pointer from the NBA Finals logo has really brought in the control of the series for the Dubs. As after Game 5 of NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors lead by 3-2 against the Boston Celtics. Not many expected them on the winning side as the Celtics haven’t lost two straight in the postseason and even their road records were great. But now it’s a close deal as the Dubs got the dub and now stand one win away from lifting their fourth championship in eight seasons. Jordan Poole has really been that guy throughout the postseason. As he has shined on many occasions and has never let the team down. Even last night his shooting heroics brought in the win or else it would have been a very different story.
The Golden State Warriors hosted the Boston Celtics at Chase Center for Game 5 of NBA Finals. It was a very important game as both the teams wanted that 3-2 lead and the Warriors were successful in claiming it. But it wasn’t Stephen Curry who was getting the job done as he had a horrible night shooting the ball and went 0 for 9 from the three-point line. He was limited to 16 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds. It was his first playoff’s game without a three-pointer. But all that was handled well by the rest of the team and especially the bench.
As Andrew Wiggins dropping 26 points, 2 assists and 13 rebounds carried the Warriors to a win and was backed up by Draymond Green (8 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds) and Klay Thompson (21 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds). The final box score stands at 104-94 favoring the Warriors and the Celtics are now stuck in a do or die situation. Jayson Tatum was getting the job done but all his efforts were wasted as those weren’t enough to win it all. As the bench and other role players were caught sleeping and weren’t living up to the expectations.
Jordan Poole in the game played for approximately 14 minutes and had 14 points. His three-pointer from the Finals logo which was a buzzer-beater was actually a game-changer as it brought in the lead and eventually the game. It wasn’t the first time the young guard showcased his shooting skills in the. As Jordan Poole has always been showing off his heated hands with ice cold drops, swishes and buzzer-beaters throughout the postseason. The Celtics almost made a comeback and the game was once again tilting towards them as they started the third quarter with a 10-0 run and were even up by 2 points in the final seconds of the third quarter. But that’s when Jordan Poole stepped up and changed it all single-handedly. Andrew Wiggins passed the ball to Jordan Poole with less than a second remaining and with 0.1 on the clock the shot was in the air and a three-pointer was recorded giving the Warriors a one-point lead entering into the fourth quarter which just changed everything as every single point matters especially when you are down by 2 and the rivals are trying to strike back.
